'A great deal of ourselves
We offer to the mirror Something less to the confessional...' Mina Loy Yesterday my daughter introduced me to Twitter. Very amusing for her, very 'how did you do that again?' for me. However, some time later I passed on to her a video clip of Dave Grohl kicking someone out of a gig. A piece of Dave trivia she did not already know. Respect to mum and her new found source of knowledge. Today I have started this blog which aims to share thoughts about my interests and experiences in writing, mainly poetry but some fiction too. (Yes another one). This feels a bit like talking into a mirror, but hey, it gives me the opportunity to practise my two finger typing skills. Tomorrow I am doing a reading with Patricia Farrell, Michael Egan and Nathan Thompson at a free event organised by The Knives Forks and Spoons Press, 1pm at Mello Mello in Liverpool . I will be reading a selection of poems from my publication, From Parts becoming Whole. More to follow on the reading and poems. For more info on the event: http://www.knivesforksandspoonspress.co.uk/theknivesforksandspoonspress/EVENTS.html For now, as the weather is just holding up, I am going to collect blackcurrants from our fruit cage before the starlings (annoyingly good at getting through netting) scoff the lot.
