Geraldine Monk Reading Yesterday I got to see Geraldine Monk perform at the Ship and Mitre in Liverpool. Monk read from Pendle Witch-Words {a reworking of the witches parts (legend and real name) of her original work Interregnum} published by Knives, Forks and Spoons Press to mark the 400 year anniversary of the death of the Pendle witches. Although I have become familiar with Monk’s reading style as part of my research, it was a treat to experience her reading in person. Ian Seed and Bobby Parker also read - the first time I have been able to see these poets read their work. All round an enjoyable afternoon. press free press review Found my book From Parts Becoming Whole has been reviewed along with Sophie Robinson’s The Institute of Our Love in Disrepair. These reviews have come out of a monthly series of active readings held at the Poetry Library and are presented online in text and recordings of discussions of the poetry.
